Majuro's Memories 2011-2012

Ontem, sexta-feira era dia de quem pregar? Jéssica Silveira! Hahaha...Sim! E quem teve que substituir? Sim...eu! Mas foi bem legal. Como foi o último dia de aula, meu sermão foi esse:
(Se vc não estende inglês, jogue tudo no google translator, que tudo dá certo..hehe)

Thanksgiving for our Majuro’s memories

We made it. It’s the last day of school. Some of us are already back home. The rest of us, will be there soon. In our hearts the desire to stay a little bit more its getting stronger.
Everything now starts to fade away. But everything worth it, so much..that we can see in every kid’s smile. Not only that, but in heaven God is looking at us with a huge smile on His face thinking: “they made it! I knew it…I knew I could trust them.”
Failures humans as us, full of sins, bad habits… God chose us to complete His mission here in Majuro. We left everything. Family, jobs, college, relationships, lives…
To live a completely different life here. To save lives for Christ.
I will have the audacity to say that we made it! We accomplished the Lord’s mission.
God actually used us, exactly the way we are, even our mistakes, so everything could work together to accomplish His plans for those kids. You may think that we didn’t do so much. That we only served as teachers and that was it. I will tell you something, kids who had no brilliant future, who probably would never know who Jesus is, and how much He loves them, kids who have difficult lives, kids who have seen and experienced a lot, were singing:
Where you go, I'll go
Where you stay, I'll stay
When you move, I'll move
I will follow...

All your ways are good
All your ways are sure
I will trust in you alone
Higher than my side
High above my life
I will trust in you alone

Where you go, I'll go
Where you stay, I'll stay
When you move, I'll move
I will follow you
Who you love, I'll love
How you serve I'll serve
If this life I lose, I will follow you
I will follow you

Light unto the world
Light unto my life
I will live for you alone
You're the one I seek
Knowing I will find
All I need in you alone, in you alone

In you there's life everlasting
In you there's freedom for my soul
In you there joy, unending joy
and I will follow
You Jesus.

I’ll repeat the part that actually makes me cry sometimes, when I hear our children singing: “If this life I lose, I will follow you, I will follow you.”
Those kids have now a new perspective for their lives. It doesn’t matter if they will be stuck in Marshall Islands for the rest of their lives. It doesn’t matter if they won’t be able to go to an amazing university in USA, what really matter is that are singing “I will follow You, Jesus”.
Everything is temporary in this life. What really counts it’s the next life. Heaven’s life with Jesus. This world it’s coming to the end. And I believe if we live our lives as the lyrics of this song and keep bringing kids to sing: “I will follow you, Jesus. If this live I lose, I will follow you”, we will accomplish what God want from us. We may not be the most qualify teachers, but we will be fisher of men. Isn’t that what God asked us to do? Then Jesus said to Simon, "Don't be afraid; from now on you will fish for people." Luke 5:10.

Where you go, I'll go
Where you stay, I'll stay
When you move, I'll move
I will follow you
Who you love, I'll love
How you serve I'll serve
If this life I lose, I will follow you
I will follow you, I will follow You Jesus.

God bless us all, and if we do not see each other in this life again, I will meet everyone of you under the tree of life, on the 7th day of the 7th week, at 7 am.
Amen.

E no final, passei um vídeo com as memórias desse ano incrível...
