God’s biggest plan...
God created us for a great plan. We are tired to hear this on sermons but we don’t actually realize how amazing this is.
Since the day that you were born God had already traced your life. He knew every single choice that you would make, even the bad ones. So, thinking about that he made plans A, B, C…to make you go back to his original plan, the biggest plan that he has for your life.
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
Since the moment that he heard you saying: “Yes God, I will leave my life in your hands”, he took it seriously! He actually took your life in His hand, and after that He will make anything to put you back in His original plan.
So, you ask me: “Ok… but, what plan is that?”
It’s not so hard to know, the whole bible, EGW books, and all the sermons that we are so use to listen, if we think well, they surround 2 important themes: - Your salvation and the salvation of people who cross our way, our path. (Our mission).
So, everything that you do in this life it’s because of those 2 great goals. Of course, remember that God only can do this if you let Him. He is a gentleman, He will never disrespect your free will.
Simplifying, you are not here in this life to get marry, your goal is not to have a family, is not to make a remarkable carrier, your goal in this life is to be save in Christ and help to save the biggest number of souls. If God allowed you to have a family, get marry, have a carrier… everything He did thinking about your salvation and how you would be used as a missionary somehow to save other souls as your friends, your family, your co-workers…etc.
Try to imagine this. The whole world connected by ropes that goes to a center. In this center you have your salvation and surrounding your salvation you have the salvation of everybody that you may help. So, fallowing this king of thought your work to save other souls will help your own salvation.
Mathew 6:33: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
The bible is clear about our goal in life. “But seek first the kingdom of God”. – What that means? That means exactly what it says – the kingdom of God – His biggest plan for your life – your salvation, the salvation of others for God put you in charge. Every little thing that happens, you may think that it’s just by accident. It’s not. In God’s world nothing happen by accident. Even when bad things comes and you don’t understand, God permitted that because He knew that somehow it would help you to grow in faith, in your Christian life, it would help you to trust in Him more – it would help your salvation, and probably the salvation of the people who watched your suffering.
“And His righteousness”: Whatever you do, whatever you say you must think about those 2 goals: your salvation in the first place and the salvation of your neighbor, people that you know… people that you have met…people that you don’t even know that well…people who cross your way.
“And all these things shall be added unto you.” You don’t have to worry about your talents, money, wisdom, sympathy, “the right opportunity”, nervousness… If God told you to do it…do it. If God put someone in your life, even when you have those cases that you rather to give up… don’t. Because, when you get in heaven and you see the smiling face of that person who came to you just to say “thank you for not giving up on me”, you will see that everything worth it. And that’s what matters, not this earthly life, but the heavenly life.
Many times your life will be the only bible that many people will read. EGW says that we are responsible for every soul that crosses our way to help them to get to know Jesus.
So, knowing that…knowing that God has everything planed, why we keep worrying about our life? Why don’t we live by His promises? Why we are so afraid of letting things go and actually trust completely in God.
Probably this will be just another sermon that you just listened. But I will pray that God may open your mind to understand the deep meaning of His biggest plan for our lives. Because in the end, nothing about this earthly life matters, even if the enemy take our life away, if we die in the name of Jesus, it worth it.
Open your heart and your ears to what the Holy Spirit has for you. This will be the best life that you will live.
Filipians 1:6: Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
"Like the stars in the vast circuit of their appointed path, God's purposes know no haste and no delay." E.G.W
